How we verify providers
What the “Verified” badge means on Somie Health.
A doctor, pharmacy, lab or hospital only appears as real on Somie Health after our team has checked them. Before we approve anyone we do these checks:
Licence check
We check their licence number on the official register of the council or authority that issued it, and that it is still current. For pharmacies, labs and clinics we check the licence of the place and of the professional in charge.
Identity check
We see a photo ID and make sure the name matches.
Diploma check
We see their diploma, and their specialist certificate if they say they are a specialist.
Video call
We have a short video call on the phone number they gave us, to match their face to their ID. We do not keep copies of their documents, only a record of what we checked and when.
Email check
Their Somie Health account must have confirmed its email address, so we know the account belongs to them.
What this does not mean
Verified means we checked who they are and that they are licensed. It does not guarantee the quality of any care. Somie Health does not provide care itself. In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital.
Profiles marked “Sample” are made-up examples and are not verified.
If something looks wrong, tell us on the Contact page and we will review it. We can remove verification at any time.
